Just Sharing...

May 10, 2012

I have had same queries on how ZARA packaged my 4 items from the previous post. I shared these images below on twitter but for those who have yet to follow me on twitter, here's a pic for reference :)

HAUL!! : ZARA.com (US Site)

May 10, 2012

Heya beauties!!

I am so excited to share with you today my package from ZARA.com that finally arrived. I ordered this on the 1st of May and I guess it took about  9 days for it to be delivered here.

For your information, ZARA.com does not ship internationally so I used comgateway (hopshopgo.com) to get it here. Furthermore, there was an ongoing promotion on that site at the time I ordered whch took USD10 off shipping. My actual shipping cost was USD15.70 but with the promotion, I ended up paying only USD5.70 in total :D hurray!!

I wasn't 'adventurous' enough to order bulky items such as shoes because I do not know how ZARA packages their stuffs so I bought my usual favourite items from them: BLOUSES!!!!

After calculating, I am saving at least SGD15-20 per blouse!

(ie. ZARA blouse in Singapore = SGD89.90 / same one on the site = USD59.90 = SGD75)

How cool is that?

Okay, enough of chit-chatting.... let me share with you what I hauled.

Blouse #1

I love the clever mix of material in this blouse. It's soft denim and the printed part is of a chiffon-like material. I find the design to be very 'current' as well.

Blouse #2

I was really undecided whether or not to get this mainly due to its colour. Having small kids running around, ths colour is not quite practical. However, I really adore the bohemian vibe it gave and the details of the crochet sleeves and the metal zipper at the back just sealed the deal.

Blouse #3

I chose this pretty flowery blouse because of its shape. It has bell-sleeves and small gold bell-like buttons on the front. I intend to wear this with my high-waisted bell-bottom jeans!

Blouse #4

I really love this blouse. In fact, this is of the cheaper range of ZARA, from the TRF line. But really, I adore the navy blue base of the blouse and the vibrant contrast of the floral designs on it.

So, that's about it :) Though... I must share something with you beauties...

Honestly speaking, I feel that as I age, I am leaning more and more towards loose blouses. Never would it ever cross my mind to even have a second look at all these types of styles five years ago. I still remember referring to such blouses as 'auntie' blouses, so look who's talking now, huh? LOL!!

Anyhoo... I'll share with you what I actually wore today for work.

Yes, It's another ZARA blouse, bought locally though :)

and... that's it :)

I think I am not going to stop hauling from there. Oh no!

With LOVE.

Early Opinions... Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation

May 07, 2012

Dear beauties,

I received a mini sample of Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation together with my recent Chanel purchase. This foundation was thought to replace the ever-so-popular Chanel Pro-Lumiere Foundation.

Personally, I have not tried any of Chanel's foundation before and I was quite excited to try this one out.

I was matched to the shade 20 Beige (for a natural finish). They had a rosier-tinged one too if I wanted a radiant finish but I chose the former. So let's take a look at the foundation and how it blends into my skin.

Completely unblended.

Partially blended out using my Sigma F80 brush.

All blended out. Not too bad isn't it?

So I took it out for it's second test drive today. This is how I look when the foundation is first applied onto my skin.

And this is how I look when I got back home 5.5 hours later.

I did not blot at all. And yes... MAC's Quick Sizzle lipstick is still shockingly vibrant on my lips. hehehehhe :D (Perhaps it's because I didn't eat anything when I was out except for several sips of water using a straw.)

So what are my initial thoughts?

I do notice some shine spots on my nose and parts of my forehead, but honestly speaking, the way it wears off on my face after that length of time is better than my trustee Estee lauder Doublewear Foundation (Shade: Sand). For the EL Foundation, I am 100% sure that my face will be like a spotlight, shiny as hell after more than 5 hours! And for sure, I'll be scampering for some blotting papers. However, for the Chanel's Perfection Lumiere, somehow the oiliness translates into some kind of a glow. (I don't know how that's even possible, but you can tell from the pics above, right?)

I believe I can still give one more shot of the sample tomorrow and perhaps the day after. I'll see if I miss it. If I do, I think I might just drop by the stores and pick one up! Each bottle retails for SGD79 if I am not mistaken?

So, have you beauties tried the Chanel Perfection Lumiere yet? What are your thoughts?

With Love.

LATEST! Giorgio Armani Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil #5 Copper (GA Spring 2012 Exclusive)

May 05, 2012

Heya beauties,

I remembered some time last year around this same period I was busy tweeting and stalking strawberrynet.com for Giorgio Armani's La Femme Bleu Collection 2011 Waterproof Eyeliner Pencils. This line of eyeliner pencils from Giorgio Armani are very creamy, smudgeproof once set and very highly pigmented.

So this year was pretty much the same thing! Same stalking of my favourite beauty site... same nervous energy I get each time when I see these limited edition items pop out of nowhere... But this time round, by the time I wanted to tweet about it, it was all sold out! (It even crossed my mind that I might have gotten the one and only one put on the site. LOL!!)

So, I got myself the highly-coveted shade in #5 Copper, out of two limited edition shades. The other was #4 Antique.

The shade is like a molten-peach and brightens my waterline nicely. It's too light to be called Copper actually as it has no bronze or reddish tinge to it.

Here are some of its swatches together with my other favourite eyeliner pencils for my waterline...

(L-R : MAC ?, GA #5 Copper, MAC 'I Get No Kick' Eye Kohl, Chanel 'Rose Platine', Chanel 'Khaki Platine')

I am actually quite glad that none of the shades are similar and I use each and every one of them to death! I even got a back-up of Chanel's Stylo-Yeux Pencil in Rose Platine!

And here's some EOTD of me wearing the GA #5 Copper on my waterline...

On the eyes: Laura Mercier Shadestick 'Cocoa', NARS eyeshadow in 'Coconut Grove', Urban Decay Naked Palette 1 'Buck', GA Eyes To Kill Excess Mascara 'Black', GA Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil #5 Copper

Just sharing with you my mini limited edition family of Giorgio Armani's Waterproof Eyeliner Pencils...

#5 Copper, #1 Black, #2 Brown

That's about it for now my beauties. I intend to do a review on my Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Excess Mascara. So, keep a lookout for that one!

With LOVE.
