I've been rather fond of NARS lipsticks lately and I can totally see myself expanding my NARS collection in future. One thing I like about NARS lipsticks is the quality. NARS lipsticks never leave my lips parched and dry, unlike some MAC lipsticks (and I still wonder why some of MAC's lipsticks do that to my lips??) 

A couple of my latest additions to my NARS family are these 2 lipsticks :
Roman Holiday (pale baby pink: lustre finish) and Funny Face (magenta : satin finish)

Roman Holiday is a sweet and pretty pink which is also very suitable for daily wear. The lustre finish of Roman Holiday leaves a glossy look and is also very moisturizing. It can last up to 3 hours on me, without a need for reapplication.

Here are some comparison swatches of NARS' Roman Holiday with some other similar shades: 

The next NARS lipstick I got is Funny Face, which is a magenta. It has a satin finish.
I was actually looking for something which is comparable to my HG Magenta Lipstick, which is MAC's Quick Sizzle (which you can find in my blog post here). However, if you take a look at the comparison swatches below, you can see that NARS' Funny Face is deeper in shade and a more subdued magenta as compared to MAC's Quick Sizzle.
It is still a LOVELY colour to wear to work. It still gives a professional image, nothing too bold and loud.

So, what other shades do you ladies recommend me to get from NARS?

I know I also adore their matte lipstick range. I'm looking more into that as well:)

I'm back to share with you this product I acquired a couple of months back.

It's one of the Make Up Forever Aqua Rouges. It supposedly has a long-lasting power of a lip stain and an eye-catching shine of a gloss.

I purchased No. 11, a dark raspberry colour.

Now, what can I say, upon initial application, it looks amazing!

In the picture below, I've merely applied just the lipstain portion without the gloss.

As you can see, it actually turns out looking pretty alright. However, the stain cannot be worn alone. My lips felt very tacky and dry. If I were to purse my lips together and separate them apart slowly, I can feel my lips peeling. 
So, when it comes to versatility of using it matte or glossy, I'd say 'nah', it failed. I cannot choose to use it matte. It's definitely a 2-step product.

Also, I find that I have to spread the lipstain quickly because it dries pretty fast. Especially for a dark colour like the shade I got, if I do not spread the lipstain evenly, I can see dark patches in certain areas.

Below, I've topped up my lips with the clear gloss. Again, the look is pretty impressive.

Unfortunately, it only impressed me until the time I decide to eat something.

Goodness, check out what is left on my lips below after eating a piece of chicken.

The colour is practically gone. Worse, some of the stain settles in the fine lines of my outer lip in random areas. 

All in all, I thought this product would be promising but I guess it didn't quite work.

Perhaps the lighter colours would be better? Hmnn...
