Dear beauties,

In the first week of December 2010, I was given a chance to review 2 products from CELLNIQUE PARAMEDICAL. I promised to only give a review after trying the products for at least a month. I guess this would be the fairest way of sharing my thoughts and opinions. And of course, I always justify my conclusions with concrete evidence through my pictures. Same as how I did in my LRP Cicaplast review which you can read here.

These are the 2 products I chose and received:

I chose these 2 products after taking a short skincare quiz on CELLNIQUE's website. My skincare concerns then were mainly:

• Congested pores at the sides of my nose.
• Obvious whiteheads at cheek area near the nose.
• Occasional acne breakouts due to pore congestion. OILY, OILY, OILY!!

So, what do I think of them? Let's start with the results I attained after using the SKIN ACTION SEBUM GEL for 3 weeks.

I am completely satisfied with this product! Check out the difference in how my skin looks!

My thoughts: The Skin Action Sebum Gel is a colourless and almost odourless. I use a full pump of this gel to cover my T-Zone (forehead and down my nose) as well as my chin. Initial application gives a cooling and almost minty feeling. What I really like about this product is that this gel absorbs very quickly into the skin, less than a minute in fact. But of course, I rub it in in tiny circular motions, I do not just smear it and leave it like that. I use this gel on cleansed skin. The gel definitely reduced the the size of my pores, got rid of my whiteheads and congested bumps. Thumbs up!!

Main Active Ingredients

	Phyto Bio-engineering Technology • The application of engineering principles to address challenges in the fields of plant biology. It applies principles to the full spectrum of living systems. It deals with disciplines of product design, sustainability and analysis to improve and focus utilization of biological systems.
	Male Ferm Root Extract • Reduce skin inflammatory and irritation with its soothing effect. It is able to control and prevent future breakouts on skin. It also helps improve skin texture.
	Potassium Azelaoyl Diglycinate • Has been used to control the secretion of excessive sebum thus decrease the formation of blackheads and whiteheads. It is also helps prevent skin discoloration caused by acne or comedones without over drying the skin. Besides, it also increases skin moistures and improves skin elasticity.
	Witch Hazel Extract • The use of Witch Hazel to disinfect the skin has significantly reduces the presence of bacteria on the face, this reduction limits skin inflammation and the likelihood of acne or comedones developing.

And here's me with the masque on. Although it's green in the tub, it's almost colourless upon application.

Honestly, throughout the month, I only used this mask twice, mainly because suggested usage is weekly and I went for holiday for 2 weekends. LOL!

My first reaction when I applied is that I felt as though I am applying kindergarten glue all over because it is really, really sticky. And, it REMAINS sticky throughout the whole 20 minutes you are supposed to leave it on your skin. I took quite some time to wash off the mask because as water touches it, the gel texture becomes slimier and slimier. But or course, eventually it washes off :) Phew.

Then I stared at myself in the mirror to see any obvious difference in my face.

To pinpoint exactly, I really can't but I felt as though I've become POSITIVELY FAIRER. My face looked so much fairer than my neck! Radiant, in fact!

And that's when I went back to the website to read up what exactly this mask does and true enough:

So it is TRUE what I saw!

But I must remind you that although it claims to exfoliate dead skin cells, do not expect to see any obvious exfoliation business going on because the gel is as smooth as a man's brylcream, no exfoliating beads whatsoever.

According. to Cellnique, the Skin Purifying Masque is a non drying purify masque specially designed for clogged pores, congested or acne prone skin. This masque helps absorb impurities, minimize breakouts and reduce excessive sebum, promoting a clear and healthy complexion.

	Tea Tree Oil • Has excellent anti-bacterial, antiseptic, anti-fungal and antioxidant properties. It penetrates into skin quickly and accelerates healing of skin disorders.
	Citric Acid • Works as an astringent, antioxidant and pH adjuster. It is one of the AHAs that helps exfoliate dead skin cells and works as a natural skin brightener and softener.
	15 types of organic components • Includes Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Sage, Restharrow, Horse Chestnut, Horsetail, Yarrow, Rosemary, Witch Hazel, Arnica, Dandelion, Marshmallow, Wheat Germ, Thyme Oil and Tree Tree Oil. • Using organic components on our skin can increase our skin elasticity and return the natural glow.

All in all, I am glad that I got to try these products and also I managed a sigh of relief because initially I had hesitations to try new skincare lines. You know, in case I screw up what has already been good for me :) But thank goodness they work and I did not have any allergic reactions or negative effects :)

I am not very familiar with the rest of the line but I can assure you that the SKIN ACTION SEBUM GEL is a keeper for me.
